Colours, glorious colours
A couple of weeks ago, Lique announced on the Dutch “Amigurumi en Haak Forum” that she would be selling Rico Creative Cotton in her webshop. I was immediatly interested.
Rico Creative Cotton was made popular by the wonderful Lucy from attic24. Lucy’s a colour-nut, and her beautiful rainbow-coloured bag full of rico cotton became an inspiration for many in the Crochet world.
I had been very close in ordering a bag of this cotton myself from an online shop based in the UK, first4yarns. In the end I chickened out though…
And then the forum-post by Lique came. Her offer is very, too interesting: €1,65 per skein.
Naturally, I couldn’t help nor stop myself this time. I ended up ordering a total of 34 skeins! Yes, I know, one hell of a quantity. But I do already have a project in mind
(Like I need any new projects. Maybe I should first finish the one’s I already started
)
I have been drooling over this cushion-cover by rettygrayson since a very long time:

I consulted Lique, and she confirmed my suspicion that this cotton would be perfect for recreating this. So I splurged on 3 skeins of 4 different blue shades and 2 different green shades each and 6 skeins of plain white. And then I just felt I needed to see what the other colours looked like in real life, so I bought one skein each of another 10 colours. And that are the 34 skeins.

And then my package finally arrived ![]()
Man, the colours really are gorgeous. I started grinning the moment I opened the box. They litterly brightened my day

I already made one hexagon for the cushion – using attic24′s Hexagon How-to – and it’s looking good
